TIANJIN, China — Chinese language chief Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledged on Sunday to resolve their border variations and bolster cooperation, forward of the opening of a regional summit in Tianjin.

Xi stated he hoped the Tianjin assembly will “further elevate” and “promote the sustained, healthy and stable development of bilateral relations,” in keeping with state broadcaster CCTV.
