British No 2 Cameron Norrie started his Paris Masters marketing campaign with a straight-sets victory over Argentina’s Sebastian Baez.
Norrie was the favorite coming into the match, notably with the indoor situations, and regardless of Baez preventing again at varied factors all through the match, the Brit managed to finish a 6-3 6-4 victory in an hour and 24 minutes.
The 30-year-old closed out the match by grabbing a 40-0 lead earlier than his opponent netted on match level, and he’ll now face world No 1 Carlos Alcaraz within the second spherical.
“I was pretty nervous out there,” stated Norrie after the match.
