Hit Row’s promo style is so much better than most.
This was basically an Extreme Rules match in fast forward.

I’m beginning to think the 2.0 in NXT 2.0 is a tribute to the match length in minutes, though these women did get a commercial break.
Xyon Quinn def. ONey Lorcan
Joe Gacy appeared in yet another “Safe Space” segment where he doubled down on his woke bona fides. WWE is not running away from the controversy he’s stirring up and I absolutely love it.
For those wondering, Xyon Quinn was the unnamed individual who was showing his chivalrous side during a random segment last week.
NXT might have something in Xyon Quinn, who got the crowd going toward the end of this match, which saw him win clean.
MSK Faces off with Tag Team Challengers
I have a feeling that NXT 2.0 will continue to feature talking segments that mirror that of WWE Raw where one star is getting cut off by another.
If Carmelo Hayes uses his NXT Breakout contract on the NXT Tag Team Championships, it would seem like such a waste of that contract.
Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen, who got squashed by IMPERIUM two weeks ago, had the audacity to insert themselves in the NXT Tag Team Championship discussion.
Io Shirai and Zoey Stark vs. Toxic Attraction
Out of everybody in this match, this crowd seemed to care about Io Shirai the most.
In true WWE fashion, Vic Joseph promoted this week’s WWE draft by teasing “tag teams galore could be split up.”
Gigi Dolin took a nasty bump on the apron while getting clotheslined to the outside but thankfully she appeared to be fine.
Boa vs. Andre Chase
Mae Ying opted to watch this match from ringside rather than remaining in her throne.
Andre Chase wrestles in his college-style sweatshirt and collar, which tells me this gimmick is 100% comedy but can still get over with this crowd.
There were faint “Chase U” chants which I expect to grow louder the more Andre Chase is on television.
Mae Ying blew a vapor in Andre Chase’s face so I guess he technically lost via contact high.
Roderick Strong vs. Grayson Waller–WWE NXT Championship
Grayson Waller’s theme song kinda slapped before it was so abruptly cut short.
Grayson Waller attacking Roderick Strong from behind was referred to as a “smart strategy” because he’s a babyface.
Lashing Out with Lash Legend
Though WWE has more talk shows than AEW has Internet Wrestling, at least this was on location and in front of a crowd like an actual talk show.
In WWE’s answer to Wendy Williams, Lash Legend (Anriel Howard) showed a lot of personality. If she’s even halfway decent at wrestling (Hint: she’s one of WWE’s greatest athletes as a former WNBA player), WWE has a potential superstar in Lash Legend.
Kyle O’Reilly def. Ridge Holland
One theme I’m noticing in NXT is a lot of the veterans are going over. This is an AEW-like approach that allows the young up-and-comer to slowly build momentum through growing pains before finally getting a big win.
Von Wagner made the save as Kyle O’Reilly was getting beaten down, but I still feel like NXT hasn’t fully explained who he is.
Raquel Gonzalez vs. Franky Monet—WWE NXT Women’s Championship
Robert Stone’s wardrobe continues to get more and more wacky and I’m here for it.
Jessi Kamea had a retractable sign that read “Future Champ,” and it would be so funny if it got confiscated by WWE security.
This was a good match, but Raquel Gonzalez won it relatively easily.
Following this match, Toxic Attraction beat down both The Stone Brand and Raquel Gonzalez. Wade Barrett compared it to The Nexus. Not quite.
