Woman Gaga clearly is not involved a couple of lawsuit by a surfboard model that claims she jacked their brand for her new album … ‘trigger her lawyer launched a fiery response amid her saying new tour dates!
This is the deal … Misplaced Worldwide is suing LG for trademark infringement for her “Mayhem” album … claiming they personal the rights to the time period as used within the surf firm’s distinctive brand — and that Woman Gaga’s use is principally equivalent.
Clearly, Gaga believes the transfer is shallow … Orin Snyder, Gaga’s lawyer tells TMZ the lawsuit is a waste of time — ‘trigger it is clear the surf firm is attempting to board her success.
“It’s disappointing — but hardly surprising — that someone is now attempting to capitalize on her success with a baseless lawsuit over the name ‘Mayhem,'” Orin tells us … including, “That is nothing greater than an opportunistic and meritless abuse of the authorized system.”
The surf model says they’ve owned the “Mayhem” trademark since 2015 and says Woman Gaga is now misappropriating the emblem with out permission.
Misplaced goes after Woman Gaga to dam her use of the emblem and the corporate needs damages, together with any income she’s made off her use of the “Mayhem” brand.
Gaga is bound the corporate goes to wipe out on this one … ‘trigger she simply dropped tour dates for The Mayhem Ball tour — which is ready to start in Las Vegas on July 16.
It will be attention-grabbing to see if Misplaced’s try catches a tasty wave — or is pressured to bail.
