Tiger Woods has expressed his “heartfelt sadness” following the demise of his mom, Kultida.
Woods introduced the information on his social media accounts on Tuesday.
“It is with heartfelt sadness that I want to share that my dear mother, Kultida Woods, passed away early this morning,” the 15-time main winner wrote.
“My mom was a force of nature all her own, her spirit was simply undeniable. She was quick with the needle and a laugh.
“She was my greatest fan, best supporter, with out her none of my private achievements would have been attainable.
“She was loved by so many, but especially by her two grandchildren, Sam and Charlie.
“Thanks all on your assist, prayers and privateness at this tough time for me and my household. Love you Mother.”
Kultida Woods final week attended her son’s TGL match in Florida.
The previous world No 1’s father, Earl, died in 2006.
