As a key partner in the COVAX Facility, a global network established to procure and distribute COVID-19 vaccine doses equitably worldwide, UNICEF is working with Nepal’s government to make vaccines accessible to all. UNICEF has strengthened Nepal’s cold chain system, supplying refrigerators and cold boxes, and trained workers on how to monitor storage temperatures and transport vaccines safely.
“I feel happy,” says Kunwar. “The government has made these provisions to vaccinate people. I’m able to earn a livelihood, so I’m happy.”
