The Pittsburgh Steelers are seemingly distancing themselves from Mason Rudolph‘s political allegiances after the quarterback hit a rally for President Trump on Friday … emailing a reminder to followers that their present and former gamers’ private views don’t communicate for your complete group.
Rudolph, in addition to teammate Miles Killebrew and former Steeler Rocky Bleier, took the stage at No. 45-47’s occasion close to Pittsburgh … and at one level, even gifted POTUS together with his personal customized staff jersey.
In keeping with Entrance Workplace Sports activities, their cameos ruffled some feathers with some season ticket holders … and the staff issued a response to anybody elevating concern over all of it.
“We understand that a recent rally in Pittsburgh has generated a range of reactions from our fan base,” the letter mentioned, in accordance with Entrance Workplace Sports activities.
“Our alumni and current players make their own individual decisions that reflect their views, and they do not necessarily represent the view of the entire Pittsburgh Steelers organization. We appreciate your passion and your continued support of the team.”
Trump showered Rudolph with reward through the look … saying the signal-caller is tall, good-looking and has a superb arm.
In reality, he even predicted the previous Oklahoma State Cowboy can be the starter as soon as the season rolls round — NOT Aaron Rodgers, who has but to decide on his NFL future and whether or not his plans embrace organising store in Metal Metropolis earlier than his profession is over.
Value noting — Trump gained Pennsylvania within the 2024 presidential election … so we take it there are many Steelers followers who did not have an issue with Rudolph’s determination.
