St Helens needed to depart Hull KR’s Sewell Group Craven Park below a police escort following what the membership described as a “terror threat” despatched to their Instagram account.
Sky Sports activities Information understands the menace was made in the direction of the St Helens workforce throughout their 20-12 Tremendous League semi-final loss.
Saints head coach Paul Wellens was seen chatting with cops after the full-time whistle.
A police officer was stood exterior the coach for the gamers and employees to get on, with a cordon of eight stationed across the coach earlier.
The workforce bus was then given a police escort as they departed the stadium.
A spokesperson for the membership mentioned within the post-match press convention: “The club had a terrorist threat sent to the Saints’ Instagram account.
“It was reported to the St Helens Floor Security Officer and so they spoke to Hull KR’s Floor Security Officer. They’re treating it with the utmost seriousness.”
