Former West Indies captain Sir Garfield “Garry” Sobers has died on the age of 89.
Sobers was West Indies captain for seven years between 1965-72, and holds the document for the fourth highest particular person Check innings with a rating of 365 not out towards Pakistan on the age of 23.
He amassed over 7,041 First-Class runs for Nottinghamshire within the County Championship, together with 18 centuries, and took 281 wickets.
