Reverend Jesse Jackson, the civil rights icon who twice ran for U.S. president, has died, in accordance with his household.
Jesse’s household issued a press release Tuesday morning, saying … “Our father was a servant chief — not solely to our household, however to the oppressed, the unvoiced, and the missed all over the world.”
They went on … “We shared him with the world, and in return, the world became part of our extended family. His unwavering belief in justice, equality, and love uplifted millions, and we ask you to honor his memory by continuing the fight for the values he lived by.”
Jackson died peacefully together with his family members at his facet. In November, Jesse was hospitalized after dwelling for over a decade with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), in accordance with his Rainbow PUSH Coalition. The illness impacts sufferers’ means to stroll and swallow and has harmful issues.
Jackson’s official reason behind dying was not launched.
He was 84.
