Rapper Kevin Gates is getting served … as a result of his spouse simply filed for divorce.
Dreka Gates, who used to handle Kevin, beelined it to courtroom Wednesday and filed for divorce from Kevin after 9 years of marriage.
Within the docs, obtained by TMZ, Dreka lists the date of separation as July 10 … and he or she’s going with the boilerplate “irreconcilable differences” as the explanation for the cut up.
Kevin and Dreka have two minor youngsters — 12-year-old Islah and 11-year-old Khaza — and Dreka is searching for joint authorized and bodily custody of the youngsters.
Dreka can be searching for spousal assist … and he or she checked the field to terminate the courtroom’s skill to award spousal assist to Kevin.
It is unclear if there’s a prenup.
Kevin and Dreka acquired hitched in October 2015 … so the divorce submitting comes a couple of months shy of what would have been their tenth marriage ceremony anniversary.
We reached out to Kevin’s camp … and his rep says Kevin is “unfortunately” declining to talk on the matter at the moment.
