The Polish CEO who went viral after basically snatching a tennis professional’s hat away from a baby on the U.S. Open appears to be providing up an apology … in accordance with a number of reviews.
A press release apparently from Piotr Szczerek — head of the DROG-BRUK stone paving firm in Poland — goes round on-line … and, in it, the CEO says he needs to “unequivocally apologize” to the child and his household.

Szczerek says he takes accountability for his “poor judgment and hurtful actions” … including he by no means supposed to steal Kamil Majchrzak’s hat away from a younger fan.
When Kamil handed the hat up, Piotr says, he “became caught up in the heat of the moment and the joy of the victory, and I believed Majchrzak was handing a hat to me to give to my sons, who had previously asked for autographs.”
He says he is aware of he harm the boy and plenty of followers … and, for that, he is really sorry.
Szczerek says he despatched the hat again to the younger man and apologized profusely … which he hopes will undo a minimum of a few of the hurt he inadvertently brought on.
Piotr goes on to say, “For years, my wife and I have been involved in supporting children and young athletes, but this incident has shown me that a moment of inattention can undo years of work and support. It is a painful but necessary lesson in humility.”
ICYMI … video went viral final week displaying the Polish tennis star seemingly attempting handy his hat to a child — when a person grabbed the hat and handed it to his spouse.
Outrage on-line got here swiftly … and Kamil truly went on social media to attempt to discover the child. They met shortly after the incident — a once-in-a-lifetime expertise.
Feels like this is likely to be a case of an actual miscommunication … one which Piotr and his household could by no means dwell down.
