The PGA Tour has cleared Wyndham Clark of a guidelines violation after the previous US Open champion took a free drop in the course of the second spherical of the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.
Clark, the world No 7, was concerned in confusion on the par-four third on Friday.
His ball was adjudged to have hit the golf green, bounced within the air after which landed again in its personal pitch mark, which entitled him to a free drop.
