Pete Hegseth‘s Senate affirmation listening to for his nomination as Donald Trump‘s U.S. Secretary of Protection spiraled into chaos with a number of protesters disrupting the proceedings.
Take a look at the video … Hegseth was thanking folks for “literally and figuratively having my back” when, mockingly, an aged man behind him determined to air his differing opinion, calling him a misogynist earlier than getting escorted out — and the protest parade didn’t cease there.
No less than three protesters had been booted from the listening to room Tuesday morning, with one lady airing her grievances earlier than being proven the door — and one other man dramatically carried out by U.S. Capitol Police.
As for Hegseth … the previous Fox Information weekend anchor didn’t break a sweat — he simply patiently waited for the room to cool down once more earlier than calmly choosing up the place he left off.
Seems like Hegseth could have anticipated the backlash, particularly after stirring the pot with daring opinions like saying ladies shouldn’t serve in fight, and claiming navy requirements have been lowered for girls to take action.
However, it appears Trump’s all in on Pete — when he first picked him, he referred to as Hegseth “tough, smart, and a true believer in America First.”
