The two-acre estate in Toronto’s Bridle Path community centers on a 26,000-square-foot mansion.

Toronto’s Bridle Path neighborhood is known for its lavish mansions and celebrity neighbors. Superstars such as Drake, Celine Dion and Prince have called the sought-after enclave home.

A 26,000-square-foot mega-mansion now for sale is just down the street from a spread Mick Jagger once rented.

A circular driveway leads to the symmetrical front of the house.

Billed as contemporary L.A. style architecture, the palatial design is a timeless mix of classical, traditional and modern. The stately stone and concrete structure, with substantial pillars, strong horizontal lines and arched-topped upper windows, sits on two park-like acres ringed by privacy hedges and mature trees.

When snow graces the copper roof, there’s plenty going on indoors — a central garden to enjoy, an indoor swimming pool and hot tub and an indoor sports court that can be used for basketball or squash. But that just scratches the surface.

Living spaces on the back side of the house look out onto a terrace and the grounds.

MORE FOR YOU

The gated entry accesses a circular drive and motor court. Double glass doors with a transom window and decorative metal work open to a coved-ceiling foyer. Gradual steps on three sides of the hall lead to the formal rooms.

The interiors, done by Gluckstein Design, are luxurious and livable. The living room features stone floors, a stone fireplace and wainscoting.

An indoor garden is incorporated into the central stairwell.

A central stairwell, which opens to other seating areas, has scrolled railings and plantings. An elevator also accesses the upper and lower levels.

A family room with wood floors and a fireplace opens to terrace space, as does the coffered-ceiling library.

A crystal chandelier sets the tone in the formal dining room.

Stone floors and wainscoting continue in the formal dining room. A bay window seating area is at one end of the room.

The center island kitchen and breakfast room overlook the indoor swimming pool through a glass wall. The mosaic-bottomed pool, complete with a slide, sits under a glass-domed ceiling.

A wall of glass brings light into the indoor swimming pool area.

The primary bedroom includes a sitting room, a dressing room and a nine-piece en suite bathroom. There are a total of six bedrooms and 14 bathrooms.

The mansion’s lower level contains staff quarters, an 11-seat theater, a massage room, a wet bar, a billiard room and a ballroom with a light and sound system.

Among amenities on the lower level are a wet bar and a home theater.

A wide stone terrace at the back of the house has two sweeping concrete staircases that lead down to the lawn and private tennis court. The garage can accommodate 10 cars—a coveted perk in Toronto’s high-end market.

Barry Cohen and Patricia Sun of Barry Cohen Homes are the listing agents for 19 High Point Road, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The asking price is CAD 25 million or about US $19.5 million.
