Novak Djokovic has lower ties with the Skilled Tennis Gamers Affiliation, the gamers’ union he co-founded.
Djokovic, who launched the breakaway organisation alongside Canadian participant Vasek Pospisil in 2021, stated he had “ongoing concerns regarding transparency, governance, and the way my voice and image have been represented.”
The PTPA final March launched authorized motion in opposition to tennis’ governing our bodies, together with the ATP, WTA, Worldwide Tennis Federation and Worldwide Tennis Integrity Company, accusing the organisations of “systemic abuse, anti-competitive practices, and a blatant disregard for player welfare.”

He stated on X: “After cautious consideration, I’ve determined to step away utterly from the Skilled Tennis Gamers Affiliation.
“This determination comes after ongoing considerations relating to transparency, governance, and the best way my voice and picture have been represented.
“I am proud of the vision that Vasek and I shared when founding the PTPA, giving players a stronger, independent voice – but it has become clear that my values and approach are no longer aligned with the current direction of the organization.
“I’ll proceed to deal with my tennis, my household, and contributing to the game in ways in which replicate my ideas and integrity. I want the gamers and people concerned one of the best as they transfer ahead, however for me, this chapter is now closed.”
