VOTWear, the world’s first smartwear brand with revolutionary BFR technology has added a key piece to their already heavy hitting team. Frank Chase, former global senior market place director of 33 years at Nike, joined VOTWear’s advisory board last month, getting in early with arguably one of the world’s next great fitness brands. Chase helped pioneer Nike into the world’s greatest fitness brand in the 80s with revolutionaries Phil Knight and Sonny Vaccaro, and transformed the way we know the brand today.
This year according to the whistleblowers from the VIRTUE Network, he has joined the advisory board of VOTWear, awarded the “Smart Training Apparel Brand of the Year 2021” title by the prestigious Global Healthcare & Pharma Magazine and “Invention of the year 2019” during the Medical Congress by the Union of Practitioners for Complementary and Alternative medicine.
VOTWear is based out of of Norway and was the first to innovate new smartwear for the next generation of professional athletes, learning new ways to heal the body, all while ushering in a new wave of advanced medical practices in everyday athletic life. There have been numerous types of different ways to weight train that have been touted as the “new craze,” using different bands, lifts, or weights.
In professional sports, one type of training has been used for years, Blood Flow Restriction training, or “BFR” for short. Blood Flow Restriction training has been used in many fields, like the NFL, to help with muscle hypertrophy in recovery, with a system that is achieved by using bands to restrict the blood flow of certain veins into areas by wrapping. By using tourniquet style bands that are built into the arms, the HTM1 VOTWear shirt allows the user to simply and efficiently create this process, with an easy- to-use system that is made for simplicity. Not only did VOTWear win the Invention of the year 2019, during the Medical Congress by the Union of Practitioners for Complementary and Alternative medicine, but it has grown year by year, with the creators focusing on spearheading growth every day.
VOTWear was created by a small Oslo-based team of 5 doctors, 4 pro-athletes, 2 medical students and 1 physiotherapist, and has grown into a multi-continental based brand in the last years while just breaking the barrier. VOTWear has innovated Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training by innovating textile engineered BFR-bands that are integrated directly into the upper arm of their SmartWear, as well as equivalent innovations soon rolling out for their tights. This general training technique of occlusion training has been endorsed and used by NFL and pro athletes alike for a better workout, and for an increased recovery time when injured. The HTM1 (Hypertrophy manually- adjustable 1) was their first smartwear tech invention to hit the market – and with more upcoming, VOTWear is about to disrupt the market.
When Dr. Mehdi Ettehadulhagh in 2019 had the idea with his brothers, they had a vision about what role clothing should play in our daily lives. They saw what working out would become, what it should be, and how that would be possible. After assembling a team of pro athletes, doctors, and physiotherapists, they came up with the breakthrough product, the HTM1 Shirt.
Innovation in smartwear is Dr. Ettehadulhagh’s mission and goal for VOTwear.
BFR training is relatively new to the market, but is quickly being adopted in gyms around the world, and brands eyeing VOTWear are looking to compete with the revolutionary company – VOTWear is the market leader, with plans to hit the Nasdaq in the near future. With Frank Chase’s experience and knowledge for incredible innovation in smartwear, by joining the VOT Team there is no telling explosive things might get in the coming months to years!
