Not everybody was consuming turkey on Thanksgiving … ‘trigger rising star rookie receiver Xavier Legette revealed he chomped down on a raccoon for his vacation dinner!
The Carolina Panthers first spherical 2024 draft choose revealed the non-traditional Turkey Day meal on the St. Brown Podcast when Amon-Ra and Equanimeous St. Brown requested him about one thing he enjoys consuming that others may discover questionable.
“I eat raccoon,” Legette admitted. “Like a raccoon that you see in the trash.”
The NFL brothers have been baffled by his reply. Equanimeous — a receiver for the Packers — pressed for extra particulars, asking … “Where do you even get that?”
Apparently, not a grocery retailer.
Legette — a Mullins, South Carolina native — stated he hunts the mammal, then “kill it, I skin ’em, cook ’em, eat ’em — all that.”
In actual fact, the 23-year-old stated he had one for Thanksgiving dinner after his household went out looking.
So, what does it style like? Not hen, Legette says, including “‘coon’ got its own taste.”
And, raccoon is not the one “different” dish Legette enjoys — he additionally eats squirrels and rabbits.
