Detroit Lions security Brian Department has been banned for one sport with out pay by the NFL after he punched Kansas Metropolis Chiefs extensive receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster in an incident that set off a post-game scuffle.
NFL vp of soccer operations, Jon Runyan, wrote in a letter to Department: “Your aggressive, non-football act was entirely unwarranted, posed a serious risk of injury, and clearly violated the standards of conduct and sportsmanship expected of NFL players.
“Your conduct mirrored poorly on the NFL and has no place in our sport.”
Department – who can enchantment the suspension – is poised to overlook the Lions’ sport in opposition to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers subsequent Monday.
The 23-year-old will probably be eligible to re-join the energetic roster the next day.

Sunday’s skirmish stemmed from Department rejecting a high-five from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes following the Lions’ 30-17 loss.
