Management Tower Evacuated After Smoke Reported

An unsettling state of affairs went down this morning at Newark Liberty Worldwide Airport … with air site visitors controllers evacuated from the tower after studies of smoke, triggering a floor cease.
The FAA stated the tower was evacuated attributable to a burning scent coming from an elevator … and stated there was no hearth. Because of this, arrivals and departures are quickly paused.
The incident is particularly unnerving given what went down at LaGuardia Airport simply hours earlier … when a collision between an Air Canada jet and a hearth truck on the runway killed two pilots and injured dozens of individuals. Because of this, the airport shall be closed till 2 PM ET Monday on the earliest.
Whereas the Newark state of affairs isn’t as extreme … it’s solely including to an already tense morning. Keep protected on the market.
