The helicopter that crashed into the Hudson River was actually falling aside in mid-air … with a special approach of the incident displaying a number of mechanical items flying off the chopper into the river.
Watch the clip — recorded by CCTV cameras — of the Thursday afternoon crash … the helicopter is flying alongside when what look like big items of equipment, in all probability the rotor blades, come off, plummeting towards the Hudson and inflicting the helicopter to fall like a stone from the sky.
Whereas nearly all of the helicopter causes an enormous splash, the opposite items trigger smaller disturbances within the water — although, these items of the helicopter should have been fairly giant to trigger such splashes.
