Nevada Rule Bans Organic Males From Enjoying in Ladies’ Sports activities

Organic males can’t compete in ladies’ sports activities beneath a brand new rule introduced this week by the Nevada Interscholastic Actions Affiliation.

NIAA’s rule says male scholar athletes can solely compete in NIAA-sanctioned sports activities designated for boys or coeds. The NIAA, which oversees sports activities at secondary faculties in Nevada, mentioned the game should align with the intercourse listed on the scholar’s authentic delivery certificates.

Feminine scholar athletes can solely take part on a boys’ staff if a corresponding staff is unavailable for ladies, and so they should qualify for that staff. Feminine gamers can take part on groups designated for ladies or co-ed.

Nevada Lt. Gov. Stavros Anthony celebrated NIAA’s determination to verify “high school girls can compete in a protected category exclusively for female athletes.”

“Girls deserve a level playing field, and this action helps ensure they can compete, grow and succeed without having to compromise safety or fairness,” Anthony mentioned.
