There may be a global chip shortage right now, but flash memory seems largely to be unaffected, judging by the flurry of new memory products coming from Kingston Technology Company, Inc.
The company has just announced that it is now shipping the XS2000, a pocket-sized portable SSD that works at USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 speeds to deliver super-fast performance in a compact form factor that can be taken anywhere.
The Kingston XS2000 delivers blazingly fast transfer speeds up to 2,000MB/s, giving users a boost in productivity with little interruption. The XS2000 offers high-speed performance and comes in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities, enough for offloading and even editing high-res images, 8K videos and large documents. The drive connects with USB-C cable enabling content creators to store and access their files anywhere on a PC or mobile device.
At nearly half the size of a typical portable SSD, XS2000 comes with a removable and rugged sleeve plus an IP55 rating to shrug off water and dust, making it the perfect travel companion for on-location work.
According to Tony Hollingsbee, SSD Business Manager, Kingston EMEA: “XS2000 is purpose-built with the ultimate combination of high performance and high capacity to keep up with the content demands of consumers around the world The compact size is similar to a key fob, plus there’s added durability to make this the ideal drive to keep productivity flowing.”
