Karmelo Anthony‘s mother took the stand to plead with the jury set to find out her son’s destiny, TMZ has realized.
Kala Hayes testified minutes after her son was discovered responsible of murdering Austin Metcalf. She advised the 12-person jury she is aware of her son could be very sorry for what he did.
Prosecutors requested Kala if she nonetheless had love for her son.
Kala was requested, “Regardless of what happens, you realize he will still get to be part of your life?” She replied, “Yes, I do.”
Karmelo’s mother is the one witness to take the stand for the protection within the sentencing to this point.
As TMZ beforehand reported, Karmelo is going through 5 to 99 years in state jail for murdering Austin at a Texas highschool monitor meet in 2025.
