NEW DELHI (Reuters) – India’s antitrust physique has turned down a request from Apple (NASDAQ:) to place a maintain on an investigation report which discovered the corporate breached competitors legal guidelines, permitting the case to proceed, an inside order from the regulator seen by Reuters confirmed.

The Competitors Fee of India (CCI) in August ordered a recall of investigation studies after Apple mentioned the watchdog had disclosed industrial secrets and techniques to rivals within the case courting again to 2021, together with Tinder-owner Match. These parts ought to have been redacted.

The CCI had requested events to return the studies and destroy any copies. The regulator then issued new studies.

Apple requested the CCI “to take action against TWFS for non-compliance with its order” and “to withhold the revised” report, the CCI order, dated Nov. 13, seen by Reuters confirmed.

“Apple’s request to hold the investigation report in abeyance was deemed untenable,” the CCI mentioned within the order.

Apple didn’t reply to Reuters queries.

The CCI didn’t reply outdoors common enterprise hours on Sunday. Calls to representatives of TWFS went unanswered.
