The Matrix: Resurrections, the fourth film in the Keanu Reeves led action-sci-fi franchise and the first in decades, releases in theaters and on HBO Max on December 22nd.
You’ll need to check your local theater showtimes to see when the film hits the big screen in your area, but if you’re planning on streaming the latest adventure of Neo and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) the answer is a little more straightforward.
HBO Max, which costs $14.99 a month, will have The Matrix: Resurrections available to stream for 31 days beginning this Wednesday.
The film goes live on the streaming service at midnight PT / 3 AM ET, making it the perfect movie for night owls and insomniacs this evening.
For everyone else, it’ll be available the moment you wake up Wednesday morning, like a glowing green-and-black Christmas present under your tree.
So far, reviews are mixed but still mostly positive. While some reviewers hated the film and others gushed about it, most fell somewhere in the middle, noting the good and the bad.
There is currently no free trial available for HBO Max and no other streaming service that’s offering the film.
