Georgia H.S. Shooter’s Father Arrested, Gave Son AR-15 for Christmas

The daddy of the suspect charged with murdering 4 individuals at a Georgia highschool has been arrested himself, after authorities realized he gave his son the AR-15 used within the mass taking pictures as a Christmas reward.

Alleged shooter Colt Grey‘s father, Colin Grey, was arrested Thursday in reference to Wednesday’s taking pictures at Apalachee Excessive Faculty, through which Colt is accused of gunning down two college students and two lecturers.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says the daddy is dealing with 4 counts of involuntary manslaughter, 2 counts of second-degree homicide and eight counts of cruelty to youngsters.


The dad informed investigators this week he purchased the AR-15-style gun used within the faculty taking pictures as a Christmas current for his son in December 2023 … based on a number of stories.

The timeline right here is attention-grabbing … as a result of it places the acquisition about 7 months after the FBI investigated threats allegedly made by then 13-year-old Colt by way of Discord.

The FBI says the threats concerned a future faculty taking pictures and included footage of weapons … although there have been no specifics involving when or the place a potential taking pictures would occur.

The feds say they referred the threats to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Workplace … and deputies visited Colin and Colt’s dwelling to interview them.

Colt denied making the threats … and Colin informed deputies Colt didn’t have “unsupervised access” to the weapons that they had at dwelling.
