George Santos is warning the Bureau of Prisons … predicting an “international nightmare” if he is brutalized behind bars throughout an upcoming jail stint.
The previous New York congressman tells TMZ … if something dangerous occurs to him in federal jail, the BOP goes to have an issue on their palms.

Santos warns … if his bodily autonomy is violated, it should be dangerous for the BOP. He imagines his lawyer releasing an announcement about him being brutalized or sexually assaulted in jail … one thing he would not suppose the BOP desires to take care of.
George notes … he isn’t one to close up both.
He is resulting from report back to federal jail July 25, and he tells us he is terrified of the large home and fears for his life.
George worries … “What’s going to happen to me?”
He provides … “We know in theory the BOP is for the well-being of inmates, but we know in practice a lot of s*** happens to inmates. I don’t want to be a BOP statistic.”
As we reported … Santos was sentenced to 87 months after pleading responsible to wire fraud and identification theft costs.
George tells us he is hoping to be positioned in protecting custody … and he says his attorneys are engaged on the request … together with requests for a possible pardon, clemency and commutation.
Regardless of his considerations about life in jail, George says he isn’t studying any self-defense techniques. He tells us he is nonviolent and would not wish to resort to self-defense.
Within the meantime, George says he is laying low and spending as a lot time with household as doable whereas he is nonetheless on the skin … and he admits his head is “all over the place” and he would not know what to suppose as he waits to give up.
We reached out to the BOP … thus far, no phrase again.
