Fyre Pageant 2.0 is not going to go down in Playa del Carmen, Mexico subsequent month, and the organizers say it is as a result of they received royally screwed by the Mexican authorities.
TMZ has obtained textual content messages despatched by Fyre Fest occasion producer Nick Botero, saying they have been backstabbed by Mexican officers. Not mincing phrases, Nick says, “They f***ed us.”
In response to Nick, the federal government is appearing like that they had no concept the pageant was taking place in Could … “They [the government] posted on X, Instagram etc giving their blessing and support and then yesterday they say we’ve never heard of them its hilarious.”
Nick is not holding out hope, saying the federal government is “lying completely,” including, “And at this point we’re not doing any event there and we plan on making it very public and showing all of the evidence.”
Nick doubled down within the texts, saying, “As of now we wont be hosting a festival in playa.”
Nick will not be dropping by the wayside, saying, “We will move it somewhere else.” He was no more particular and the clock is ticking quick.
TMZ obtained these textual content messages only a day after Billy McFarland claimed he and his group are working with Playa Del Carmen to ensure the pageant strikes ahead, posting a timeline of alleged interactions with the federal government.
His documentation allegedly exhibits paperwork filed with the town, e mail communication with officers, and even receipts of pricey funds submitted to safe varied permits.

Billy posted the documentation after the federal government of Playa del Carmen issued a press release saying “no such event with that name will take place in our city.”
BTW, this isn’t the primary time Mexican officers have denied Fyre Fest goes down there. It was initially imagined to happen at Isla Mujeres … however the island’s metropolis corridor introduced in February no permits had been filed for such an occasion.

Billy has been adamant his beloved pageant goes ahead, telling TMZ in February it’s going to be run by “real music professionals” and “real artists.” Final month, Antonio Brown informed us he is a part of the lineup — which has but to be introduced.
There’s lots at stake for Fyre Pageant 2. Bear in mind … the world watched the unique pageant crash and burn in 2017, and Billy was convicted of fraud and sentenced to six years in jail.
He was launched in 2022, and has been on the highway to redemption ever since.
