6:17 PM 6/2/2026 — A number of sources with direct information inform TMZ … the suspect in custody is Sean’s neighbor.
Our Legislation Enforcement sources inform us that LAPD responded to a name at Sean’s dwelling for prison threats round 10 AM Tuesday. The caller acknowledged the suspect was a neighbor who had been harassing and threatening their contractors. The caller advised officers this had been an ongoing concern.
Our LE sources inform us when officers arrived Tuesday morning, there was no indication of any threats made. No report was taken.
Sean Avery and his spouse, Hilary Rhoda‘s Los Angeles dwelling was the scene of a daunting taking pictures … TMZ has realized.
Sources aware of the state of affairs inform TMZ … the couple’s contractor was working at their Hollywood Hills residence Tuesday when the photographs rang out. We’re advised that through the taking pictures, a tire on the contractor’s car was struck.
As of now, our regulation enforcement sources say there are not any identified accidents. Our LE sources inform us one individual is in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
We’re advised neither Avery or Rhoda was dwelling on the time of the taking pictures.
It is at the moment unclear what led as much as the incident.
The LAPD tells TMZ officers responded to the world shortly earlier than 5 PM after receiving a potential shots-fired radio name.
