Savannah Chrisley‘s prescription weight reduction web site is below a federal microscope … ‘trigger the FDA warned her about making false and deceptive claims about GLP-1s.
The feds fired off a warning letter, obtained by TMZ, to Savannah final month … advising her that they reviewed her web site GoodGirlRX and located some points.
Particularly, the feds took situation with some claims her firm made regarding compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide merchandise … the FDA did not like that she used the phrases “FDA-approved meds,” “FDA-approved options” and “clinically proven GLP-1 results.”
The feds schooled Savannah, telling her compounded drug merchandise like those her website provides are NOT FDA-approved … and so they mentioned she was implying that her merchandise had been “evaluated for safety and effectiveness when they have not.”
Savannah was warned that she was in violation of federal legislation … and so they gave her 15 enterprise days to make corrections or threat authorized motion.
Appears Savannah took the warning significantly … it seems to be like her web site has made some adjustments to conform … for instance, the phrasing now says “clinically studied results” not “clinically proven” … and there are disclaimers saying the GLP-1 medicine usually are not FDA-approved.
Savannah tells TMZ … “This was about website wording, not patient safety. There were no fines and no disciplinary action. We’re proud to help women access licensed physicians and we welcome the FDA’s guidance.”
