The Scott Jennings Radio Present

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr simply fired a warning shot at “The View” … suggesting the ABC daytime panel present might be subsequent on his listing after ABC’s indefinite suspension of Jimmy Kimmel‘s late-night program.

Because the chairman defined, “The View” and its rivals are formally labeled “bona fide news” applications … that means they’re exempt from following the FCC’s Equal Time Rule. So, they are not required to present political rivals equal time on every present.

Nonetheless, “The View” was based by legendary newswoman Barbara Walters and is produced by ABC Information — so it is unclear given these information credentials that Carr has a case right here to revoke their exemption standing.

The commissioner’s feedback got here on the heels of Kimmel’s indefinite suspension over his remarks about Charlie Kirk’s murderer. His ousting got here after Carr and affiliate house owners Nexstar and Sinclair objected on behalf of their market audiences to Kimmel’s phrases.

“The View” was notably silent about Kimmel’s suspension Thursday, regardless of it being the most important information of the day.

As they are saying … do not chew the hand that feeds you!!!
