Exeter chair Tony Rowe has suspended coaches Rob Hunter and Ali Hepher following the Chiefs’ document Gallagher Premiership defeat towards Gloucester.
Hunter took over from Hepher as head coach in March, with Hepher being handed a job overseeing Exeter’s backs and attacking technique till the top of this season.
Exeter have received simply three Premiership video games this time period, and so they unravelled spectacularly at Kingsholm, shedding 79-17 and conceding 13 tries.
Tv footage confirmed an animated Rowe talking his thoughts as he addressed gamers and coaches within the dressing room post-match.
Exeter stated that Rowe had made the choice “pending a full review of the match and the 2024/25 season to date”.
Rowe stated: “No final decision regarding the club’s coaching structure going forward has been made, and it would be improper to make any further comment until all internal procedures have been completed.”
The membership added that long-serving rugby director Rob Baxter will step into “a front-line coaching role” to supervise the rest of this time period.

“We’re not going to run away from this, we’re going to sit on all of it week and we’re going to simmer on it till we play our subsequent recreation. No person is searching for an arm round them.”
Alternative hooker Jack Singleton scored three tries in 10 second-half minutes as Gloucester romped to victory and stayed on the right track for a doable play-off place.
