Todd Meadows — a rookie “Deadliest Catch” deckhand who died at sea final week — was a decided dad to three boys … and a brand new GoFundMe marketing campaign will go a great distance in supporting them in his absence.
As we reported … Meadows died at simply 25 years previous, going overboard whereas crabbing on the Aleutian Woman within the Bering Sea final Wednesday.
The GoFundMe is being organized by Todd’s cousin, Paige Knudson, who tells TMZ … the household is crowdfunding to assist his youngsters with all the things they want throughout a “horrific” time of their lives.
Todd’s cousin says he’d been fishing ever since he was a younger boy, and it was his ardour … and he’d labored within the industrial fishing trade for the previous 4 years, and solely began his job on the Aleutian Woman again in January.
We’re advised he grew up in Washington and moved to Alaska to work on the boat and supply for his youngsters.
The marketing campaign web page reads, “This unimaginable loss has left his children without their father, his parents without their son, his siblings without their brother and his family broken. As the family navigates this heartbreaking time, we are raising funds to help support his three boys, assist with funeral expenses, and help ease the financial burden in the months ahead.”
It provides … “Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward honoring his life and ensuring his boys are cared for in the way he would have wanted.”
Todd’s demise is being investigated by the U.S. Coast Guard, who advised us that first help and makes an attempt to resuscitate Todd had been unsuccessful, and he was recovered from the water unresponsive.
His cousin says Todd needed to be cremated, and they’re hoping to have a celebration of life in a pair weeks.
