BERLIN — Denmark’s prime minister launched into a tour of main European capitals Tuesday because the continent faces what she known as “a more uncertain reality” and her nation strikes to strengthen its navy presence round Greenland.

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen deliberate stops in Berlin, Paris and Brussels, the latter to satisfy NATO Secretary Normal Mark Rutte. Her journey comes as new U.S. President Donald Trump has mentioned he wouldn’t rule out the usage of navy pressure to grab management of Greenland, an autonomous territory belonging to NATO and European Union member Denmark.

On Monday night, her authorities introduced a roughly 14.6 billion-kroner (practically $2 billion) settlement with events together with the governments of Greenland and the Faeroe Islands to “improve capabilities for surveillance and maintaining sovereignty in the region.”
