CrossFit has decided on the standing of its 2024 Video games after Lazar Dukic tragically drowned through the run-swim occasion on Thursday … asserting the rest of the competitors will proceed as scheduled in honor of the Serbian athlete.
The health group shared the information on social media … claiming it felt it is one of the simplest ways for the neighborhood to grieve after “the saddest day in CrossFit history.”
“The first instinct is to shut down. To isolate. To mourn,” the group mentioned.
“But the only cure for grief is to grieve. And the best way to grieve is together. In our community, coming together to do hard things is how we pay tribute. In this spirit, we have decided to move forward with the 2024 CrossFit Games.”
Whereas CrossFit said the weekend will go ahead in Dukic’s honor, the transfer is being met with a ton of backlash … as many imagine the group didn’t have correct security procedures in place when the 28-year-old drowned within the Marine Creek Lake.
