The conclave to elect the following pope will begin on Could 7, in accordance with the Vatican.
The choice was made on the Fifth Common Congregation, held on Monday morning within the Vatican’s Synod Corridor. The conclave will happen within the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel, which can stay closed to guests throughout these days.
In response to the Vatican, there are presently 135 cardinal electors eligible to vote within the conclave, although the quantity who will attend and vote will not be but confirmed.
In an effort to be elected pope, a two-thirds majority of electors current is required.
