The Unbridled group have been at all times break up over their Champion Hurdle alternatives and that theme continues into day two of the Cheltenham Pageant.
Wednesday’s card kicks off with an amazing conflict on the high of the market within the Turners Novices’ Hurdle as Dan Skelton’s The New Lion takes on the Willie Mullins-trainer Ultimate Demand.
The New Lion was a wide ranging winner of the Challow Hurdle at Newbury in December, whereas Ultimate Demand made gentle work of his rivals on the Dublin Racing Pageant final month.
Paddy Brennan, who’s in usually on the Skelton yard since retiring from the saddle, has been very taken by The New Lion.
“This is my NAP of the week,” he stated.
“I’ve actually loved watching him. He was very spectacular in a Grade One, although the shape hasn’t stood as much as a lot.
“He isn’t your bizarre Challow winner. They do not usually win like that.
The New Lion will now be sporting the inexperienced and yellow colors of proprietor JP McManus
“When you see him in the yard, he really stands out. The last horse that used to give me that impression was Inglis Drever. They’re a similar size and build.
“I believe the higher floor will swimsuit Potters Allure and I might see him reversing the locations with Sixmilebridge and he is an enormous value.”
Fellow host Matt Chapman was taken by Final Demand’s most recent victory and think Mullins could have another star on his hands.

“The New Lion is clearly a very useful horse but I’m sticking with Final Demand,” Chapman stated. “He looks like such a machine.
“The impression on the Dublin Racing Pageant was that this horse is simply one thing extraordinary.
“A small field plays into the hands of a horse who is probably going to be on the front end.
“I do not suppose Sixmilebridge is with out a hope and Potters Allure is not the worst each-way wager.”
