No Shoo-In For U.S. Flag Soccer

If Caitlin Clark actually desires to play flag soccer on the 2028 Olympics, she will not be getting any famous person remedy to get a spot on the crew — so say the group’s CEO!!
The WNBA famous person not too long ago talked about on the NFL Annual League Assembly she at all times dreamed of enjoying soccer as a child … and even tossed out the thought of suiting up for the Crimson, White and Blue on the gridiron when the Video games come round in a couple of years.
“Maybe LA 2028, maybe I’ll do two sports,” Clark stated on the assembly. “Or if basketball doesn’t work out, I’ll head over to flag football.”
TMZ Sports activities spoke with Scott Hallenbeck, the CEO and Government Director of USA Soccer, in regards to the Indiana Fever hooper’s feedback … and whereas he known as them “exciting because they show the tremendous growth of flag football,” he made it clear CC must check out like everybody else.
“USA Football is going to assemble the best possible team for the Los Angeles Olympics, and crossover athletes have already proven they can compete in flag at the highest levels,” Hallenbeck stated.
“That said, there’s a process, and each player will have to earn their spot for LA28.”
Whereas it isn’t deal with soccer just like the NFL, making an attempt out for flag soccer isn’t any stroll within the park. We spoke with Flag Soccer star quarterback Darrell “Housh” Doucette previously … and he informed us he is a greater choice than three-time Tremendous Bowl champ Patrick Mahomes.
“I’m not saying I’m a better player overall but until he steps on a 5v5 flag field, I’m going to feel that way until it’s proven otherwise!” Doucette stated.

This would be the first time flag soccer is included within the Olympics — and women and men will probably be competing.
