Former junior light-weight boxing champion Jamel Herring‘s home violence cost stemming from an alleged altercation in January has been dropped, TMZ Sports activities has realized.
Herring’s legal professional — Clyde Bennett — launched an announcement on the event on Thursday … saying there was “insufficient evidence to prove that he committed any crime against his wife” and the “investigation demonstrated her claim against Mr. Herring were false.”
Bennett added Herring has since been launched from jail and is now wanting ahead to placing the entire ordeal behind him.
Herring was initially arrested again in January after his spouse went to the cops to report an alleged incident that occurred a number of days prior. Within the incident report we obtained, she claimed Herring got here house “extremely intoxicated” round 2 AM … and commenced bullying her over relationship points.
She claimed he “viciously” attacked her by punching her physique, pulling her hair, choking and throwing her.
The lady claimed at one level within the altercation, she had bother respiratory and feared she would die.
Herring — who retired in 2022 — has not but addressed the matter publicly.
