Theatrical business in India continues to improve the box office score as another new Hindi movie released on Friday, December 3. Hindi film Tadap had an impressive show at the ticket windows in India and the film collected $1.79 million (Rs 13.52 crore) over the opening weekend. The film released on Friday.
Directed by Milan Luthria, Tadap marks the Bollywood debut of Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan Shetty. The film managed a good opening collection on Friday when it released across 1656 screens in India. Tadap earned $0.53 (Rs 4.05 crore) million on the first day of the release.
Shetty features alongside Tara Sutaria in the movie that is presented by Fox Star Studios, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and co-produced by Fox Star Studios. Considering that Tadap rode on the young shoulders of debutant Shetty and two-film-old Sutaria, the first weekend performance has been very good.
Meanwhile, previous Hindi releases continued to score big at the box office in India. Antim: The Final Truth collected $4.29 million (Rs 32.36 crore) in two weeks of the release. Featuring his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma, the film is headlined by Salman Khan.
John Abraham’s Satyamev Jayate 2, that also released alongside Antim The Final Truth last week, earned $1.62 million (Rs 12.28 crore) in the domestic market. Presented by Zee Studios, Antim : The Final Truth stars Salman Khan, Aayush Sharma and Mahima Makwana, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.

Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi, that hit theatres on November 5, continues to run in Indian theatres. As it completed a month at the box office, the film has collected $ million 25.5 (Rs 192.38 crore). Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film is the fourth one in his “cop universe. Ajay Devgn’s Singham (2011) was the first film in the cop universe, followed by Singham Returns in 2014. Featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, Simmba (2018) was the third film in the franchise.
