WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The Biden administration delayed till June an order for Nippon Metal to desert its $14.9 billion bid for U.S. Metal, the businesses stated on Saturday, giving them a while to revive the politically contentious deal.

President Joe Biden blocked the acquisition on nationwide safety grounds on Jan. 3, and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen stated this week the proposed deal had obtained a “thorough analysis” by the interagency evaluate physique, the Committee on Overseas Funding in the US.
