San Francisco is reeling after the lack of one among its most beloved bodega cats … a neighborhood fixture who, in line with his proprietor, was tragically struck and killed by a Waymo self-driving automotive.
KitKat — the resident feline at Randa’s Market within the Mission District — was reportedly hit by a driverless Waymo late Monday. An area resident instructed Mission Native he was driving down the road when he noticed the Waymo immediately swerve … and folks on the sidewalk began shouting and grabbed the cat because the Waymo drove off.
Tragedy has struck sixteenth St. within the Mission.

A 311 metropolis grievance said KitKat was close to the shop, sitting on the sidewalk subsequent to the transit lane when he was struck — and the self-driving taxi “did not even try to stop.”
A rising memorial now sits exterior the liquor-store market close to sixteenth and Valencia, with neighbors gutted over the lack of a real neighborhood fixture.
