“Emily in Paris” star Ashley Park is being slammed as disrespectful after she seemingly mocked Pope Leo XIV on social media following his election because the first-ever American-born chief of the Catholic Church.
Take a look at the video she posted … she tells followers she’s in Rome to start capturing the favored Netflix sequence — and can not seem to perceive what the massive deal concerning the Pope is, actually asking … “Does anyone care?”
Hair and make-up artist Carole Nicolas sarcastically responds … “Fantastic,” which Ashley repeats whereas guffawing together with hair stylist Parizhair and producer and content material creator Addison O’Connor.
She continues her laughing match as she jokes … “We’re here and we heard the church bells a’ringing!”
Whereas Ashley and her manufacturing buddies have been all smiles … followers have been fast to guage, with dozens telling her to place “respect” on Pope Leo’s title. One even recommended she “rejoice” over the pontiff being from her personal nation.
It does not appear the backlash has affected AP — her video continues to be up and Nicolas gave it her stamp of approval by reposting it to her personal Instagram Story.
