Arrests made throughout Hull’s FA Cup tie with Chelsea over discriminatory chanting by supporters

Hull Metropolis have introduced that arrests have been made following discriminatory chanting by supporters throughout their 4-0 FA Cup fourth spherical defeat towards Chelsea.

After offensive chanting was heard in sections of the house crowd within the first half, a warning was revamped the PA system urging supporters to cease and reminding them that CCTV was in operation.

One other announcement adopted within the second half which included affirmation that arrests had been made.

Hull had warned their followers forward of the match that “any chanting of a homophobic, racist or discriminatory nature is entirely unacceptable and will not be tolerated inside the MKM Stadium.

“Any supporter discovered partaking in such behaviour will face critical penalties together with instant ejection from the stadium, the opportunity of a banning order and potential legal prosecution.”

In his post-match press convention, Hull Metropolis head coach Sergej Jakirovic mentioned: “I didn’t hear that [the chanting] and this is not the place for this for sure, in the stadium and also in public as well. This is not good, for sure.

“The stadium just isn’t the place for that and that is the explanation why they’re arrested.”

Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior added: “With out figuring out what has occurred, and I do not know, any discriminatory language in any type about something is unacceptable.

“I hope it gets dealt with. The fourth official mentioned something to me but I was so focused on the game. I honestly don’t know what’s happened there.”
