Anthony Mackie says he is proud to be an American, even when he would not suppose Captain America embodies what life is like in America today.
The “Captain America: Brave New World” simply responded to the pushback he is getting on-line over his latest feedback on Cap.
Anthony says … “Let me be clear about this, I’m a proud American and taking on the shield of a hero like CAP is the honor of a lifetime. I have the utmost respect for those who serve and have served our country. CAP has universal characteristics that people all over the world can relate to.”

The actor’s been getting dragged for saying Captain America stands for lots of various issues, not “America.”
Anthony was in Rome doing a promo occasion for his new film when he began speaking about what the star-spangled hero means to him … making it extra about morals than patriotism.
Mackie mentioned Cap is a person who retains his phrase and shows integrity … including the hero would not particularly characterize “America.”
The feedback have not been going over nicely in any respect … and now Anthony is making an attempt to douse the hearth.
Anthony’s flick is due out subsequent month … and it will likely be fascinating to see if he did sufficient right here to cease this ship from sinking.
