TEL AVIV, Israel – The militant group Hamas stated Thursday that it plans to launch the following group of Israeli hostages this Saturday, as was scheduled within the ceasefire deal. 

President Trump greets Jordan's King Abdullah at the White House on Tuesday. Trump has proposed that the U.S. take control of Gaza and transfer its population to neighboring countries, possibly Jordan. However, Abdullah said he and other Arab states strongly opposed relocating Palestinians.

In an announcement, Hamas indicated that three Israeli hostages could be freed this weekend and thanked the efforts of the mediators, Qatar and Egypt. Israeli officers didn’t instantly touch upon Hamas’ announcement.

An Egyptian official with data of the talks, talking on the situation of anonymity as a result of they aren’t approved to talk with the media, advised NPR there was an settlement, as did one other official aware of the main points, who was additionally not approved to talk publicly.
