Village Individuals Need Induction Into the Rock & Roll Corridor of Fame

The Village Persons are making a play for 2 of the most important musical honors within the U.S. of A. — induction into the Rock & Roll Corridor of Fame and a Kennedy Middle Honor.

The V.P.’s Fb web page makes the case … “For those who doubt Village People brought influence on other artists, Rolling Stone’s song influenced by Village People. Clearly the group has had major influence on other artists, thus satisfying the prerequisite for inclusion [in the HOF].”

Reality is … the Village Individuals have had a string of iconic hits, most notably “Y.M.C.A.,” which has had a resurgence courtesy of Prez Trump. However the checklist is lengthy — “In the Navy,” “Macho Man,” “San Francisco,” “Go West” and “Can’t Stop the Music.”

As for affect on different musicians, Mick Jagger was so obsessive about “Y.M.C.A.,” it impressed him to do “Miss You,” one of many Stone’s greatest hits.

Greater than 800 followers have jumped on the group’s Fb web page to voice assist for a Corridor of Fame nod.

Here is the deal … “Y.M.C.A.” is approaching half a billion streams on Spotify alone. Once you add in Apple, the tune’s closing in on a BILLION streams!

However wait … there’s extra. Victor Willis and co. are also angling for a Kennedy Middle Honor, and so they might have an in. Trump has axed the Board of Administrators and he’ll be the decision-maker on who will get the nod.

As we reported, Willis is threatening to sue comic Jim Jeffries for claiming the tune is code for intercourse. Willis says he fantastic if the homosexual neighborhood considers “Y.M.C.A.” a homosexual anthem, however calling it code for intercourse crosses the road. He is demanding an apology.
