PARIS (Reuters) – Iran’s acceleration in its enrichment of uranium to shut to bomb grade is “extremely serious”, has no civilian justification and contradicts Tehran’s assertions on wanting critical nuclear negotiations, a Western diplomatic supply mentioned on Saturday.

Iran has lengthy denied looking for nuclear weapons.

U.N. nuclear watchdog chief Rafael Grossi instructed Reuters on Friday that Iran was dramatically accelerating its enrichment of uranium to as much as 60% purity, near the about 90% stage that’s weapons grade.

The Worldwide Atomic Power Company later confirmed in a confidential report back to member states that Iran was dashing up uranium enrichment, a course of that refines the uncooked materials in order that it may be used as gasoline in civil nuclear energy technology or, probably, nuclear weapons.

Iran’s nuclear leap “extremely serious”, hurts diplomacy, Western supply says By Reuters

“The information reported by the Director General of the Agency, indicating a significant increase in Iran’s capacity to produce highly enriched uranium at 60%, is extremely serious,” the Western diplomatic supply instructed Reuters.

“These measures have no credible civilian justification and could, on the contrary, directly fuel a military nuclear programme if Iran were to take the decision…They are in contradiction with Iran’s declarations on its willingness to return to credible negotiations.”
