WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has accepted an invite from CNN to take part in a debate on Oct. 23 and hopes Republican rival Donald Trump will face her once more lower than two weeks forward of the Nov. 5 presidential election, the Democratic candidate’s marketing campaign stated on Saturday.
“Vice President Harris is ready for another opportunity to share a stage with Donald Trump, and she has accepted CNN’s invitation to a debate on October 23. Donald Trump should have no problem agreeing to this debate,” Jen O’Malley Dillon, the chair of the Harris marketing campaign, stated in a press release.
The Trump marketing campaign didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
Harris and Trump debated one another for the primary time on Sept. 10, in a contest that polls confirmed was gained by the Democratic nominee.
Trump final week stated he wouldn’t take part in one other debate towards Harris earlier than the election.
